The white sage is an important ceremonial plant for Native Americans. Local to this area, it is loved by hummingbirds, pollinators, and songbirds. The signature white foliage is striking and very fragrant. Small white flowers bloom in the spring and summer. This compact version was chosen to save space in this part of the garden. If you take a look at the parkway to the right of the garden, you will see a full size white sage plant.
